​Raksha Bandhan

It is always a gleeful moment to celebrate the bond of siblings. A vibrant Raksha Bandhan event was organised to showcase the significance of this festival, which brought our school community closer.
The sisters' tied rakhis on their brothers' wrists, symbolizing their bond and the brothers' presented them with a gift of love. They promised each other to be present for each other through thick and thin. This heartfelt gesture brought smiles and emotional moments as students shared their love for each other.
Our Principal Ms Shalini Nair tied the Rakhi to the teachers and Annas' in our campus.She reinforced the importance of fostering strong relationships and appreciating the bonds that tie us together.
The celebration highlighted the values of love, care, and protection, embedding a lasting impression on everyone.

Onam -2023


A kaleidoscope of vibrant hues graced our Grade IIIA and IIIB students' Pookalam, crafted with lovingly handpicked flowers to commemorate the enchanting occasion.On the enchanting third day of Onam, known as Chothi, the captivating Pookalams flourish with each added layer, magnifying their radiance and grandeur.
As the vibrant festival of Onam stepped into its fourth day, Vishakham, welcoming the beginning of the second week of celebrations called Thiruvonam. Amidst the whirlwind of festivities, a troupe of spirited Grade 5 students crafted a mix of colors as they adorned their surroundings with a mesmerizing pookalam design.
Anizham, Onam's enchanting fifth day, heralds the time-honored Vallamkali, a captivating boat race along the majestic Pamba river. Grade 6 students further enhances the allure of the KGA Campus, as they skillfully craft intricate pookalams.
As the vibrant festival of Onam approached closer, Thriketa, the sixth day of Atham, was filled with fervor and delight. The Grade 7 students added a touch of creativity to KGA Campus by crafting a unique and vivid Pookalam masterpiece.
 

Saarang - Senior School Annual Day

KGA's first annual day was celebrated on 28th January, with the theme, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Mr. Santhosh Chandran Nair, Correspondent, Dharmasastha Higher Secondary School, an alumni of Kikani, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Mr. Tushar Kikani, Correspondent, Mr. Pradeep Kikani, Mr.Chandrakant H Patel, Mr. Prakash K Asher, Mr.Diresh Raichura and other dignitaries adorned the occasion with their presence along with Ms Shalini Nair, Principal and Ms. Asha Mary, Vice Principal. 

The ceremony was blessed by the Almighty and welcomed by Head Boy Master. Dakshith Nair.

Our Correspondent, Mr. Tushar Kikani, expressed his happiness in KGA celebrating it's 1st Annual Day. He was nostalgic about the birth and journey of KGA and appreciated the Principal and her team for taking it forward into the path of excellence.

The Chief Guest of the day, Mr. Santhosh Chandran Nair, opined that education is a continuous process and stressed that schools should encourage a balance between Academics, Cultural and Sports activities.

Varnika
Junior school Annul

Varnika, as the name goes, beautifully coloured the hearts and the ambience.

The celebration began right from the day when the teachers started making props for the annual day, under the guidance and support of the Art Teacher, Ms. Vinodhini. 

The murmurs and laughter of the kids echoed happiness in every nook and corner of the school.

The celebration began in an auspicious manner. Prayer song by the little hearts of PreKG spread divinity around. Adding on to it,  the lamp lit by the Chief Guest, Dr. Sathianarayanan, Correspondent, Sri. Tushar R Kikani, Trustees, Sri. Pradeep K Kikani, Sri. Chandrakant H Patel, Sri. Prakash K Asher, Sri. Diresh Raichura, Sri. Sachin K Kotecha accompanied by Principal, Ms. Shalini Nair and Vice Principal,  Ms. Asha Mary engendered brilliance. The invocation dance indeed invoked the blessings from heaven.

The school song revealing the vision of the school and the warm words of welcome enhanced the sense of dedication and belonging.

Holi

Frenzy Colour Whips

Holi celebrations at KGA turned out the day to be one full of colours, excitement and wishes. The entire school got together with the festive energy and wished each other for happiness and prosperous days for all. With the string of music and dance, the day was celebrated on a high note. Children enjoyed splashing colour powders on everyone.

Mr Tushar Kikani, Correspondent, appraised the significance of Indian festivals among students and encouraged them to embrace and promote multiculturalism.

Ms Shalini Nair, the Principal, earnestly wished the best days ahead for all. As the air filled with the fragrance of flowers and joy in anticipation of the festivity, she also wished that this day would bring colours and joy to our life.

Women's Day celebration

Creating Better Future

KGA's women's day celebration echoed the contribution of women to our society thereby valuing the differences.

A panel talk by vibrant and successful women entrepreneurs and educationists, on the topic 'Women Pioneering the Future', geared up the thoughts of young minds.

Mr. Rakesh Menon too joined the discussions as a guest.

The panel expressed the necessity of self-push for girls and the discussion brought forth the different roles and walks of women.

Students played the role of being one among the panelists and also stood raising queries and doubts. It was a delight to see the future generation boys promising to support and uplift women understanding the fact that their deed will uplift them as well.

Adding feather to our cap, we were honoured  by Young Indians, Thalir Team for our immense participation in all the activities hosted by them. The participation has added value in elevating the Team's position up the ladder, Ms.Abhilasha from Yi quoted. She handed over the shield of honour to Ms. Shalini Nair, Principal, Ms. Asha Mary, Vice Principal, Ms. Booma and Ms. Preethi, Coordinators. A blissful moment, indeed!

Ms Shalini Nair, Principal, honoured the guests and appreciated the panelists & the students for their tremendous contribution in making the day a memorable and valuable one.

Republic Day

The 26th of January 2023, our 74th Republic Day, was celebrated with great eclat at KGA.

Our young eaglets showcased their enthusiasm and zeal by reminiscing the bravery and patriotism of our great freedom fighters. The patriotic songs, short speeches and yoga performances filled the hearts of the audience with patriotic favour. It was captivating to see students in tricolour attires.

True to the theme, Ms.Shalini Nair, Principal, enlightened the students about the fundamental duties and the importance of abiding by the law. She intrigued the students to be aware of the current events happening in the nation and contribute to the betterment of it in the best possible way.

Pongal Celebrations

“The Greatness of a Culture can be found in its Festivals”

Pongal was celebrated at KGA on January 13, 2023 with a distinct regional essence. Smartly dressed in colourful ethnic wear, children performed many enthralling songs and dances depicting harvest.

As part of the celebration, ‘Traditional Chakara Pongal’ was prepared by teachers and students in clay pots. To instill sharing and caring in the children, they were motivated to bring the ingredients for cooking pongal. It was indeed a lovely sight to watch the kids involve themselves in cooking and serving with love. Pongal was offered to Sun God and was distributed to all.

Principal, Ms Shalini Nair, applauded the students for their enthusiasm and togetherness. She not only joined hands in preparing pongal but also fed pongal to the kids with deep care and love. She elucidated the history of pongal and the culture of the state to the students.

The highlight of the Pongal Celebrations was the indigenous game - breaking the pot. The entire campus wore a festive look with colourful Rangoli, decorated Pongal pots, sugarcanes  and other decorations enhancing the festive spirit.  The day witnessed fun activities for the teachers as well.

Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav

Collaboration amongst schools to promote peace and harmony.
On August 10, 2022, the KGA virtually commemorated National Friendship Day. It was a wonderfully engaging and memorable experience as our Grade VIII students, led by Ms. Preethi, Coordinator, extended friendship hands to kids from four different parts of the country from Tamil Nadu to Delhi, Sikkim, and Rajasthan.

Coimbatore Vizha

By collaborating with Coimbatore Vizha, we hope to invigorate the spirit of Coimbatore and adding an international dimension to the theme "Rangoli across the World."

Friendship Week Celebrations

In the spirit of friendship week, the first Sunday of August is observed internationally as Friendship day. Children handcrafted several sorts of friendship bands and gave them to their friends as a way of thanking them for being such an important part of their lives. The great concept of honouring friends and friendship has really been enjoyed by the kids for years now.

Independence Day

Celebrating the ‘75th Independence Day’. The day highlighted ~ the never to be forgotten, the glory and sacrifices made by the great martyrs, the warriors of India.

Krishna Jayanti

On August 18, the KGA commemorated the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna, the entire manifestation of the greatest cosmic energy.

Onam

Pookolam was made at the school's entrance to represent Atham, the first day of the ten-day Onam carnival, which marked the preparation for Mahabali's visit to his Kingdom.

Tamil New Year and Easter Celebrations

The first day of the Chithirai month is celebrated as the Tamil New Year. People celebrate the Tamil New Year in different ways, we celebrated this way!

​Janmashtami

The day marking the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna, the complete manifestation of the supreme cosmic energy, was celebrated in KGA on the 18th of August.

Kikanians of classes KG to II made the ambience divine dressing up as little charismatic Krishna and Radha. Special Pooja showered the blessings of Almighty.

The chanting by little angels spread the aura of sanctity in the campus.

The special assembly by Grade 3 to 8 witnessed the spectacular dance performances and the uriyadi was the highlight.

Ms Shalini Nair, Principal, extended Janmashtami wishes to the kids and shared the message of fighting against darkness with faith and hope.

Experience the magic of Saarang, our Senior School Annual Day, as we celebrate the vibrant spirit of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. Watch a small gist of this spectacular journey, where we bring to life the essence of freedom, unity, and the rich cultural heritage of our nation. Saarang - a celebration that transcends boundaries and ignites the flame of freedom within us all.

​Ganesh Chaturthi

KGA celebrated the birth of Lord Ganesha, the symbol of wisdom, with great vehemence awakening devotion in children.

The day began with a special Ganesha pooja. The prayers and offerings by little hearts spread the aura of peace and happiness in the school ambience. The celebration also commenced on a spiritual note with the chanting of Ganesh shlokas. The little Kikanians spoke about the festival and its significance. The keen toddlers presented a skit on the importance of the moral virtues of devotion and obedience, synonymous with the attributes exhibited by Lord Ganesh towards his parents.The little dancing stars rocked on a medley of Ganesh songs which added splendour to the entire program.The graceful expressions by the tiny tots while singing devotional songs were really breathtaking and won the hearts of the audience.

The grand procession by the children carrying Ganesh idols and the symbolic immersion of idols saw the rousing of faith and chants of Ganpati Bappa Morya! The entire program was devotion and fun altogether.

ONAM

Students of KGA welcomed Onam with all its grandeur. Flower carpets (Pookalam), Maveli and Onam songs added hues to the celebrations.

UKG C conducted a special assembly on Onam. The majestic walk of Maveli among the children and the narration of the story behind aroused happiness. Children spoke about the significance of the celebration.

Ms.Shalini Nair, Principal, unfolded the culture of Kerala State in a beautiful manner and portrayed the reason of Mahabali's visit every year.

 Teachers Day Celebrations

One of the best and memorable day in school is Teachers' Day. The day when students play the role of teachers and make them like them.

Our little Kikanians did not miss to utilise this day to express their love for teachers. Right from the welcome in the morning to every single move of the day was surprising and lovable. Games and Treasure hunt enthused the entire campus. Entertainment stole the hearts away.

Mr.Tushar Kikani, Managing Trustee, made his presence and greeted the team for their tremendous contribution in enriching joy in kids. He shared his appreciation with a small token of love.

Ms.Shalini Nair, Principal, quoted the dignity of teaching profession and wished her team with a special note.

Ms.Asha Mary expressed thankfulness to the team for doing a great job and wished them good luck.
