A Juicy and Scrumptious Day

It's a challenge nowadays to maintain a child's diet, in a balanced and nutritious way. Our Little Kikanians of Pre-KG to Grade II celebrated 'Watermelon Day' to encourage the inclusion of fruits in our food chart which are essential for our growth and health.

As watermelon refreshes and hydrates our bodies, the day rejuvenated their minds by visiting the watermelons planted in the school garden and through activities like singing songs and creating clay models of watermelon.

It was also quite a sensory experience as they explored the texture, colour, seeds and taste of the fruit, along with its health benefits.

Our Principal,Ms.Shalini Nair joined the parade along with the little munchkins to take a peek at the watermelons in the school garden. She motivated the children to inculcate healthy eating habits.
