Abuzz of Strings

Music rejuvenates kids and perks them up. World Music Day celebrations in the school on 21 June gave a new rhythm echoing in the campus throughout.

The Class Teachers of classes I to VIII, on selection of a musical theme for their class, guided and motivated their students to exhibit their knowledge and skills.

The programme started with Lullaby by the I and II Grade. Children presented a spectacular Musical Show with great enthusiasm and enthralled the audience by rendering melodious songs, piano recital, guitar, drums, keyboard, flute etc. Music with natural instruments, albums and bands, music with the kitchen utensils was the highlight of the day. Children gave a presentation on the evolution of Indian music, the use of different instruments in our day to day activities etc.

Vital musical information spreaded information around. The exhibition of handmade and traditional musical instruments gathered attention. The meditation session with music stimulated children to work harder and longer.

The Principal, Ms.Shalini Nair, appreciated the students and the teachers for presenting a musical day. She cheered up the audience by blending instrumental beats and claps.

This celebration of music intertwined with yoga played a vital role in the overall holistic development of the students.
