“When more people are aware, the more they’re inclined to help…”
DAY 1:
Creating awareness about tigers, UKG students conducted a special assembly. Puliattam was performed and interesting tiger facts were shared.
Ms. Shalini Nair, Principal, explained the monumental impact on the population of tigers by human beings resulting in localized extinctions.
DAY 2:
A session by Mr. Saravanan from WWF was organized for the students from Class VI to VIII. He detailed the functions of WWF and its objective. He raised awareness for the conservation of tigers and discussed the factors that’s causing their numbers to fall. The unique stripes of tigers, their behavior etc., were detailed. Children’s interaction made the session even more interesting.
Mr. Tushar Kikani, Correspondent and Mr. Pradeep Kikani, Trustee appreciated the efforts by WWF and presented the memento and green token of love.
Ms. Asha Mary, Vice Principal and Ms. Preethi, Coordinator, offered a warm welcome note to Mr. Saravanan and Mr. Mohammad Israr and gave a brief introduction about him to the audience.
Ms. Shalini Nair, Principal, thanked the WWF team for their tremendous work and effort in halting the decline of tigers.
