National Sports Day, or Rashtriya Khel Divas, is an annual observance that falls on August 29 and celebrates the legacy of Major Dhyanchand while creating awareness about the need and benefits of incorporating sports and physical activities into our life.
National Sports Day was celebrated with great fervor at Kikani Global Academy. A special assembly was conducted by Grade III wherein students were made aware of the significance of this day.
The Sports Department of KGA conducted inter-house Kho-kho matches for girls and Cricket matches for boys to develop team spirit, leadership, and sportsmanship qualities among the students.
The ground witnessed team spirit and eagerness to win and the competency level exhibited was highly appreciable.

The Principal, Ms.Shalini Nair, spoke about what children gain by playing matches like this and how important is sports in one’s life. She made the students think and express the reasons for their different positions on the winner’s podium.
