Honouring the father of the Library Movement, the late P N Panicker, 19th June is celebrated as Reading Day. In continuation with that, the '22nd National Reading Month' was launched by Honourable Prime Minister on the same day, to propagate the message of 'Read and Grow'.
KGA joined the mass movement of promoting the culture of reading. To inculcate reading habits in our children, ‘Reading Campaign’ was inaugurated at KGA Campus on 20th June 2022.
Mr.Pradeep Kikani, Trustee, inaugurated the Campaign and gifted books to all the students from classes III to VIII for their class library.
Following this, reading marathons, book reviews etc will be continued over the week and month.
Students thoroughly enjoyed setting up class libraries and it also ignited the minds of the young learners.
Parents' concern about reading habits of their children is no more. We could see students grab books from others and read. It was interesting to watch the curiosity in the children.
An initiative instrumental to a positive change.
