World Students' Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, & Global Handwashing Day was celebrated in KGA.
Students of Yamuna House conducted a special assembly. Inba of Grade VI, attired like Kalam, delivered a marvellous speech. Kalam's thoughts and ideas were shared and remembered.
The action song on handwashing strategies was advocacy to increase awareness and understanding about handwashing as an effective and affordable way to prevent diseases and save lives. The thoughts shared on hand washing techniques accelerated hand hygiene in kids.
Ms.Shalini Nair, Principal, addressed the kids not to let Kalam's visions die and motivated the students that it all lies in the tiny hands. She also questioned the kids on their routine habits and emphasised hygiene as a tool for healthy and long life.
