Celebrating chocolate - a mood enhancer and stress reliever
It goes without saying that it's important to teach young children about the advantages of eating chocolate for their health and enjoyment. On July 7, KGA celebrated World Chocolate Day in a delicious way.
Children discovered that milk, cocoa powder, and sugar are the ingredients in chocolate. They were also instructed to consume chocolate in moderation as excessive use can lead to tooth decay because of the health benefits.
Students from KG to II grades brought their favourite candies, and they enjoyed sharing them with their peers.
The "Choco Jam Bread" that the LKG kids produced was quickly devoured. They gave each other chocolates as a sign of their affection. Children in UKG had fun making chocolate puppets.
Little hands in Grade I decorated their classroom and created "memories with wrappers." The candy memory game created by Grade II helped the students' memories and palates.
Under the direction of Ms. Booma, class IV students learned about fractions through experiential learning. They created delicious chocolates in various forms and distributed them as full, half, and quarter. The concept was clarified more by the ingredient measurements.
It was a gleeful ‘chocolatey’ day!
